CAEPH Welcomes New Instructional Designer- Elizabeth James, Ph.D. CAEPH is excited to have its new instructional designer- Dr. Elizabeth James from Mandeville, Louisiana. Liz received her BA in Biology from Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma Washington in 1978. She then worked in cancer research at the University of Washington (Seattle) in the Dept. of Pathology. She received her PhD in Biochemistry in from The Johns Hopkins University in 1990. She worked at the Naval Research Laboratory in Washington. For more information click here National Children's Study Brings $14.9 Million For Tulane Research The Center for Applied Environmental Public Health of Tulane University has been awarded a $14.9 million, five-year grant as a participant in the National Institutes of Health’s comprehensive study on the interaction of genes and the environment on children’s health. Tulane researchers participating in this national study will investigate factors influencing the development of such conditions as autism, cerebral palsy, learning disabilities, birth defects, diabetes, asthma and obesity.
